It depends on your market. For IEC markets: IEC 60076 (transformers), IEC 62271 (switchgear), IEC 60502 (cables). For North America: UL / CSA listings. For UK/Commonwealth: BS / BASEC standards. The factory should show you their certificate — not a scanned copy, a live video of the certificate on their wall with the certificate number visible so you can verify it independently.

Can Chinese transformers meet efficiency standards (MEPS / Tier 2)?

Yes. Many factories in our network produce IE3/IE4 efficiency class transformers with DOE 2016 and EU EcoDesign compliance. The key is specifying the efficiency class in your RFQ — don't assume they'll default to the highest standard. Request no-load and load loss test reports from a third-party lab, not the factory's own.

What's the minimum order for power equipment?

It varies. Cables: typically 500m-1km per spec. Transformers: 1 unit minimum for distribution class, but lead time and price improve at 5+. Switchgear: 1-2 panels minimum.
